Oklahoma Women's Tennis Falls To Tulsa

NORMAN, Okla. - The University of Oklahoma women's tennis team suffered a 7-2 loss to 61st-ranked TU, Wednesday afternoon at the Westwood Tennis Courts. This dropped the Sooners to a 3-4 overall, while TU improved to 6-3.

Senior Angela Stroup, picked up the only win in singles at the No. 2 slot defeating Bianca Posada, 6-2, 6-3. In doubles, the No. 1 slot, Mracnova and Stroup, beat TU's Poveda and Sedivec, 8-3.

The Sooners next match is this Saturday, March 4, at Houston. The match time is set for 11 a.m.

No. 1 Mracnova/Stroup (OU) def. Poveda/Sedivec (TU) 8-3

No. 2 De Spain/Van Dongen (TU) def. Bryntesson/Guilford (OU) 8-5

No. 3 Durska/Glass def. Hamilton/Helleland (OU) 8-4
