NORMAN, Okla. - The Oklahoma soccer team will have one final tune-up before the 2006 regular season begins with a exhibition game on Friday, Aug. 18 at North Texas. The contest is slated for a 7 p.m. start time and is open to the public ($3 admission).

Junior forward Heather Hutyra, the reigning Sun Belt Conference Player of the Year, leads the way for North Texas. Hutyra scored 20 goals and recorded 47 points in 2005.

Oklahoma returns eight starters from last season and already has one game under its belt this preseason after defeating visiting TCU, 4-1, on Tuesday.  Freshman Daphne Fitzpatrick scored two goals and senior Kady Kelly added a goal and an assist in the victory.  Click here for a complete recap and stats of the contest.
