Oklahoma Head Coach Sherri Coale
On the Game:
"The second half was much better than the first. Offensively, in the first half, we played well but we weren't as aggressive on defense as we should have been. At the start, we let them do what they wanted. They had some uncontested 3's and that didn't look like us. In the second half, we were good all around."
On Oklahoma's Defense:
"We ran some traps and mixed in some full court pressure. I thought that our defense really keyed our offense in this game."
On Oklahoma senior forward Jamie Talbert:
"Not only did she Jamie score well but I thought that she did a great job off the ball. She really worked her feet and she got in the right spots so our guards could get her the ball. She didn't have many good angles to the ball in the basket. She was shooting over, under and around people and we need every one of her points today."
Oklahoma Senior Forward Jamie Talbert
On Oklahoma's Post Game:
"All week in practice we've been working harder on posting up than we have all year long. They were playing behind us and our guards did a great job of recognizing that and getting us the ball."
Oklahoma Junior Forward Caton Hill
On Oklahoma's Post and Guard Play:
"We've been working really heard on interior passing and not laying the ball down on the floor because you can get it stolen if you throw it inside amongst the trees. I just thought we did a really good job of creating space. Stacey really found Jamie and I when we were open and we were able to get lay-ups."
Nebraska Head Coach Paul Sanderford
On the Game:
"Oklahoma is a great defensive team, they proved that at the end of the first half. We were very much in the game until they went on a big run to end the half. After that we looked tired. We struggled quite a bit, give them credit for that, they played like a top five team against us."
On Oklahoma forwards senior Jamie Talbert and junior Caton Hill:
"They dominated the game inside. We knew Hill could hurt us, but Talbert played extremely well. They owned the boards and that led to easy baskets for them."
On Oklahoma senior guard LaNeishea Caufield:
"She was tremendous on defense. She stopped Keasha Cannon from getting to the basket and that was big for our offense. She is a great player."
