OU Women's Gymnastics...
The OU women's team, currently ranked 16th nationally, looks to move its season record to 10-1 this Saturday, when the squad travels to Columbia, Mo., to face the Missouri Tigers at the Hearnes Center. Competition is set to begin at 7 p.m. The Sooners lead the OU/MU series 14-7.

Oklahoma won both meetings against Missouri last season. OU defeated the Tigers in regular season action 193.325-192.150 in Norman, Okla. and 194.675-194.550 at the Big 12 Championships. In OU's first meeting with Missouri, the Sooners claimed the top spots in four of five events. OU's Amber McCracken placed first in the all-around with a score 39.200, while teammate Mariana Goncalves placed second (38.650). McCracken dominated the meet by garnering the top-three finishes in the remaining events. By scoring a 9.875 on the balance beam, Alison Akins was one of two Missouri gymnasts to win an event title. MU's Jessica Hagg tied Sooner Malia Carr for first place on the vault (9.775).

The Tigers enter the OU/MU matchup posting a 6-6 overall season record. MU defeated Southeast Missouri State, 193.525-191.225, last Sunday, when Tigers garnered event titles in four of five events. Four Missouri gymnasts posted career bests on the uneven parallel bars, propelling MU to a school bars record with a score 49.175. MU seniors Shannon Brown and Chandra Harlow tied for first on the event with a 9.875. It was Brown's best bars score of the year and Harlow's career best. Missouri also starred on its final rotation-the floor exercise. The Tigers' score of 48.95 was the second best in school history.

OU Men's Gymnastics...
With an overall season record of 6-2, the Sooner men, ranked No.4 in the Coach's Poll, will head to Lincoln, Neb., this Sunday to face Nebraska Cornhuskers at 1 p.m. This will be the second meeting of the season between the two teams.

Oklahoma defeated Nebraska, 227.750-222.975, in Norman, Okla, this season. OU freshman standout Daniel Furney, ranked eighth in the nation in the all-around, won his second all-around title on the year with a score 56.600. NU's seniors Derek Leiter and Asher Lichterman claimed the second and third-place honors posting scores of 56.350 and 54.400, respectively. Furney also took top honor on the still rings (9.600) and finished in the top three on the parallel bars (9.600) and on the horizontal bar (9.400).

The Huskers defeated the University of California at Santa Barbara last Saturday, 222.750-214.900.

OU Shatters Records Against Air Force...
The women's and men's gymnastics teams combined to break seven school records last Friday. The women set an all-time high team score, defeating the Falcons 197.225-190.125, and the men won by a score of 226.375-217.775.

The Sooner women tied the school's all-time best on the uneven bars, 49.375, and shattered the old mark on the balance beam with a 49.475. Individually, senior Amber McCracken scored the first perfect 10 on the vault in school history, and redshirt-freshman Leticia Ishii's 39.65 set a new record in the all-around. Ishii captured the top spot in the all-around, floor exercise (9.90) and tied McCracken for the first-place finish on the uneven parallel bars.

The OU's men's team also set two OU bests and claimed the top spot in all six events and in the all-around against Air Force. Sooner junior Gabe Hansen tied the school record on the pommel horse with a 9.85. Hansen also placed first in the all-around with a career-high score 56.95 and finished first on the vault (9.45).

No. 8 Iowa State Downed by OU Women...
The women's squad won its last home meet of the season defeating No. 8 Iowa State and Centenary last Sunday in Norman, Okla. Oklahoma won with a score 196.500, Iowa State came in second (195.600) and Centenary placed third (188.750).

OU's Amber McCracken claimed the all-around title by a score 39.550, while ISU's Betsy Hamm, ranked fifth in the country in the all-around, finished second (39.550). McCracken won the floor exercise with a career-best 9.925 and tied for first in the vault (9.900) with teammate Leticia Ishii and ISU's Shelly Kringen and Karen Kuplicki. With scores of 9.925, OU's Shanna Sanders, Mariana Goncalves and Ishii tied to win the uneven parallel bars competition. This was Sanders and Goncalves first event win of the season.
