Oklahoma Women's Golf Team Headed to "Mo" Morial

NORMAN, Okla. - The University of Oklahoma women's golf team will be competing in the 2002 Verizon "Mo" Morial golf tournament on March 4-5 in Bryan, Texas. The tournament will be held at the 72-par, 6,100-yard Briarcrest Country Club. Eighteen teams will be competing in 36 holes on Monday, with the final 18 holes concluding on Tuesday.

Competing for the Sooners will be 58th-ranked junior Allison Johnson, senior Wendy Martin, 17th ranked sophomore Lisa Meldrum, freshman Emily Milberger and senior Jennifer Tannehill.

The tournament field will consist of Arkansas, Baylor, Indiana, Iowa, Iowa State, Kansas, Kansas State, No. 24 Kent State, No. 13 Michigan State, Minnesota, Missouri, No.17 Northwestern, No. 6 Ohio State, TCU, Texas Tech, Texas A&M and Texas-El Paso.
