April 10, 2011

NORMAN, Okla. -- The Sooner soccer team and visiting North Texas played to a scoreless tie on Saturday at John Crain Field.  After 90 minutes of action with the Mean Green, OU's record in the spring is 2-2-1 with one game remaining on the slate.

The Sooners will conclude the offseason schedule with an April 22 contest at SMU in Dallas, Texas.

On Saturday, OU played without three key players (Jordan White, Michelle Alexander and Sage Coralli) and played with a sophomore-filled lineup.

"North Texas has done well this spring with wins over TCU and a loss to OSU in the final minutes of a 2-1 game," said OU Head Coach Nicole Nelson.  "We are playing a lot of young players and still have some development this spring."
