Sooners Travel to Puerto Rico

The University of Oklahoma men's golf team will compete in the 2003 Puerto Rico Classic next week (Feb. 23-25) in Palmer, Puerto Rico . The tournament will be held at the Westin Rio Mar Beach Resort and Country Club. The 54-hole tournament will consist of 18 rounds over three days. The teams will compete on the Westin Rio Mar Country Club River Course (6,945 yards, par 72).

Sooner Golfers in the Rankings

OU is currently 14th in the Golfstat collegiate head-to- head rankings. Individually, senior John Kidwell (Dallas, Texas) was listed as one of the players to watch in the GolfWorld college preview. Kidwell earned medalist honors at the Sooner Invitational last fall with a three-round total of 205 (-11).
