OU Head Coach Kelvin Sampson

On the game:
"You know you're not going to do very well your first time out. In an exhibition the kids have an opportunity to play. We've got a lot of kids that can play. We were playing so many combinations it was hard for our players to get in the groove."

On Alabama:
"We know that they are one of the top five teams in the nation. That's why it's important for Quannas (White) to get to practice. He didn't play very well tonight."

OU Senior Hollis Price

On OU's performance:
"It's a new team and I'm excited about this year. We have to remember that we're going to make a lot of mistakes early in the year. We just have to go back and practice and get better. I'm excited about what I saw but certainly there are things that we need to correct."

On his performance:
"I played alright. I think I did what I had to do to help the team out to get this victory."

OU Freshman Kevin Bookout

On his first game as a Sooner:
"It was fun. The other guys around me made me so much better. They gave me great looks at the basket and easy baskets to make off their penetration. I was a little nervous. Coach told me not to be but it's hard not to be when you're going against this level of competition."

On improving his game:
"I think there are a lot of places on defense where I can adjust and there are a lot of things on offense that I need to improve like posting up and rebounding. But I'm confident that those things will come in time."

Global Sports Head Coach Maury Hanks

On the game:
"Oklahoma is always tough to play. They're always well prepared and they have possibly the best defense we'll see. They always play hard and they don't give you anything. Hollis Price is outstanding and Kelvin Sampson is a great coach. His teams always get better throughout the year. I know they will improve with each practice and each game."

Global Sports Guard Cary Cochran

On the game:
"We knew coming in that Oklahoma was a top-five team. I've been playing these games for four years and knew what to expect. Coach Sampson played a lot of guys tonight and I think they're legit. They're not as good right now, but give them a month. They're the real deal."
