Final Stats

On his team's play:
"I thought we improved. Kevin (Bookout) got better today. I thought De'Angelo got better today. I thought our best scorer today was Jabahri. His energy level was good. He played with some tenacity. Hollis Price had a lot of open shots and didn't make many today. Ebi (Ere) was kind of in and out."

On the team's improvement:
"It takes a while to be a good basketball team. This is a completely different team than we had in the past. Because we have four starters back, most people think we can walk out and just start where we left off."

"We've got to create more turnovers. They had 25 turnovers, and I saw where they could have made seven or eight more. I'm a hard guy to satisfy. We've just got to work to get better."

On the Alabama game:
"The other night was so uncharacteristic of Oklahoma. We had 18 turnovers and nine assists. Normally we're going to have way more assists than turnovers, so that just shows you we're not jelling yet. I think we would have played better against Alabama if we had both exhibition games behind us."

On his second half:
"I owe a lot of my success today to the rest of my teammates. They did a great job of getting me the extra pass. We've been working really hard in practice on not taking so many hard shots and taking the right shots."

On the team's improvement after the Alabama loss:
"After the Alabama loss, we got real hungry and I think we've improved a lot because we're working harder in practice. I think that we're starting to come together as a team."

On the game:
"We've really been working hard in practice this week. That loss to Alabama kind of exposed some of the things that we had to work on so I think today's game showed that we're going to improve as a team and we're going to get better and better day-by-day."

On taking more shots and his improved free throw shooting:
"One of the things we've needed to improve on is our low-post scoring so I've been working all summer long on my shots. If I'm open, I'm going to take the shot. I'm just trying to concentrate more on my free throws and I also have great teammates supporting me even when I miss a few."
