CHICAGO - The University of Oklahoma women's gymnastics team defeated Illinois-Chicago tonight in Chicago, Ill., 193.300 to 191.000. Oklahoma took top honors in four of five events as it improved its record to 2-0 on the season.

Oklahoma's Leticia Ishii, Amber McCracken and Ginger Russell highlighted the competition. Redshirt-freshman Ishii took her first collegiate all-around title with a score of 39.100, while seniors McCracken (39.050) and Russell (39.025) followed closely for second and third-place honors. Russell dominated both the floor exercise and balance beam events, winning with scores 9.850 and 9.825, respectively.
