COLLEGE STATION, Texas -- The Sooner soccer team suffered a 3-0 loss at Texas A&M on Friday night at Ellis Field.

The Aggies built a 1-0 lead at the half after Kelley Monogue's score in the 12th minute. In the second half, Monogue struck again and assisted on Texas A&M's second goal of the game just one minute after halftime. Less than 10 minutes later, Monogue added her second goal of the game and 15th of the season to put the game out of reach.

The game dropped OU’s overall record to 6-11 overall and 1-5 in Big 12 play, while Texas A&M improved to 12-5 on the season and 5-1 in conference action.

Oklahoma goalkeeper Kelsey Devonshire made a career-high 13 saves while forwards Caitlin Mooney (three shots) and Amy Petrikin (four shots) led the Sooner offense.

The Sooners trail the all-time series with the Aggies, 16-2, but have won two of the last four meetings with a double overtime win in the semifinals of the 2010 Big 12 Championship. OU lost 2-1 in double overtime in last year’s regular season meeting in College Station. The Sooners are 0-9 all-time in College Station.

OU and Baylor (13-3-2, 4-2-1) meet for a 5 p.m. game on Sunday, Oct. 23, in Waco, Texas at Betty Lou Mays Field. The Bears lost 1-0 to No. 2 Oklahoma State on Friday night.

With two games remaining in the regular season, OU is tied for eighth place with Iowa State in the Big 12 standings. The top eight teams in the standings advance to the Big 12 Championship in San Antonio, Texas on Nov. 2-6.
