NORMAN, Okla. - The NCAA Division I Men's Golf Committee announced Monday that the University of Oklahoma men's golf team will be one of 27 teams to advance to the NCAA Central Regional Golf Championships on May 15-18 in Little Rock Ark., at the Pleasant Valley Country Club.
The Sooners are coming off of a third-place finish at the Big 12 Conference Championship and will be competing at The Maxwell tournament this weekend in Ardmore, Okla. on May 11-12. OU has posted four top-five finishes this season while competing against some of the toughest fields in the country. Several Sooners have stood out this season including senior Cody Freeman and sophomore John Kidwell, who both garnered All-Big 12 honors.
OU was selected as a fifth seed and will be competing in the following field:
