Head coach Kelvin Sampson
On the win:
"I thought our post defense was really good. We were a little helter-skelter on offense. Offensively it wasn't a very good day. We had a lot of good looks. When you get to this point in the season you're just trying to win games."
"Our post guys were really good today. In baseball they have a closer who comes in every game. We don't have one guy who we can say is our horse. Our big guys all have a role to play. Today they all did a good job of that."
On Hollis Price:
"Every team has a best player. Every team has a kid who carries the load. Hollis is that guy for us. That guy has to be the first one to practice and the last one to leave. That guy has to be your hardest worker. That's Hollis Price. A lot of players want to be the best player, but they don't want to assume the responsibility that goes along with that."
On Quannas White:
"He only played 14 minutes. He was solid when he was in there. Our plan today was just to get his confidence back in the knee. When we went up 23, obviously we didn't want to put him back in."
On OU's 9-0 run to start second half:
"We got some defensive rebounds and some good defensive stops early in the second half which keyed our transition offense. We're a really good running team when we can get out into the open floor."
On his rebounding performance:
"I've just been trying to do what our coaches have been telling me to do. There was a lot of loose balls and a lot of missed shots and I was just able to get a lot of rebounds."
On OU's post players and his performance:
"I think our big guys did a good job containing their big men. A lot of defensive rebounds came to me and I was able to get them. I was aggressive with my assists and just trying to find the open man."
On OU's 9-0 run to start the second half:
"We came out against Connecticut and were dry offensively in the second half. In the first four minutes of the second half is when you really want to get out there and pick up your game and that's what we did today and we got our lead up to about 20 points."
Colorado Head Coach Ricardo Patton
On Oklahoma's defense:
"I think we had a couple of guys who got frustrated. Give credit to OU. We took some bad shots early and they did a good job of doubling down on us. They always do a good job of going after you defensively."
On OU's Hollis Price and Ebi Ere:
"We knew coming in that those guys would take the majority of the shots. We knew that they would be hard to defend and they were. They always find a way to step up during big games."
