March 18, 2006

HUMBLE, Texas Anthony Kim extended his lead with a three-under-par 69, and the OU men’s golf team recorded the fourth-best team total of the day to remain in fourth place at the Hall of Fame Invitational at Redstone Golf Club.

The Sooners fired a second round team score of 299 (+11).  Only Oklahoma State (+4), Texas A&M (+5) and East Tennessee State (+10) finished round two with better team totals.  Oklahoma stands at 599 (+23), 13 shots behind Oklahoma State.

Junior Nick Sheedy carded an 80 to complete the Sooners’ second round total.

First round leader Texas dropped to a tie for second with East Tennessee State at 593 (+17).  Oklahoma State is first at 586 (+10).
