Oklahoma Remains Ninth at Big 12 Championship

TRINITY, Texas – The Oklahoma men’s golf squad remained in ninth place at the 2010 Big 12 Championship after a third-round 308 (+20) at Whispering Pines Golf Club in Trinity, Texas, on Saturday.

OU’s Riley Pumphrey (71-71-78) is the lone Sooner in the top 25 through three rounds at the par 72, 7425-yard layout, currently in a share of 23rd at 220 (+4). 

Ben Blundell is three shots back at seven-over after rounds of 74-74-75 and a share of 31st.  Tyler Rody (77-75-77) is tied for 42nd at +13. 

Rounding out the team scoring in a share of 49th are Liam Logan (78-70-83) and Ryan Sirman (77-76-78).

Top-seeded Oklahoma State heads to Sunday’s final round two shots clear of Texas.  The Cowboys are 13-under through 54 holes after a 2-under-par 286 on Saturday. 

Texas Tech’s Chris Ward (69-65-71) fired his third consecutive red-figure round and leads the medalist race by two shots over Bobby Hudson of the Longhorns.
