AUSTIN, Texas -- From the tip-off Oklahoma seemed lost. Then Texas ensured that outcome.

Chassidy Fussell scored 30 points to lead four Longhorns in double figures as Texas ran over Oklahoma in an 87-62 victory Saturday.

It was mostly Oklahoma's sloppiness that delivered the Longhorns a glimmer of hope in its bid for an NCAA tournament selection.

The Sooners' turnovers -- their 25 were the second most this season -- doomed the Sooners from the outset. Even Whitney Hand's double-double of 13 points and 13 rebounds couldn't spark efficient play as the junior was 5-of-20 from the field and 0-for-5 from 3-point range.

OU had eight turnovers in the first eight minutes, but trailed only 14-13 as Texas also stalled in its early offense. However, the game never cleaned up for the Sooners while it did for the Longhorns, who finished the first half on a 21-10 run.

The Sooners finished the first half with 13 turnovers to nine field goals.

OU's leading scorer, Aaryn Ellenberg, who had nine points, was relegated to the bench for much of the game with foul trouble and eventually fouled out with 5 minutes to play.

The loss ended a streak of four straight Oklahoma wins in Austin and extended its losing streak in road games to three.

Morgan Hook added 11 points, but had seven turnovers as part of 13 caused by OU point guards.

Texas earned its sixth conference win with two games remaining and could sneak into the NCAA bracket discussion if it runs the table.
