Norman, Okla. - The Oklahoma baseball team squandered a 12-run lead in the seventh inning to allow Creighton to come from behind and beat the Sooners, 14-12, Tuesday afternoon at L. Dale Mitchell Park in Norman. After two Sooner pitchers spotted the Bluejays seven runs in the sixth inning, senior hurler Austin Coose (1-2) gave up six earned runs on in the seventh inning to give Creighton the lead for good. Oklahoma fell to 7-10 on the season, while Creighton evened their record at 3-3.

Despite the Sooners' pitching woes, OU's offense continued to crank out an abundance of hits and runs for the second-straight game. Coming off of Sunday's win over Northwestern in which Oklahoma produced 17 runs on 18 hits, the Sooners finished the contest with 12 runs and 17 hits. Six Sooners registered multi-hit performances, led by senior first baseman Greg Dobbs who went 4-for-5 at the plate with two runs scored and two RBIs. Freshman second baseman Matt Fisher (2-for-4) recorded a team-high four RBIs all on his grandslam homer, his first career home run, in the second inning.

Oklahoma looks to avenge the loss to Creighton tomorrow at 3 p.m. at L. Dale Mitchell Park. The featured game promotion will be .50 hot dogs and Cokes.
