NORMAN, Okla. - The 25th-ranked University of Oklahoma volleyball team dropped its first home match of the year, falling in four sets to No. 13 Iowa State (18-25, 25-23, 21-25, 21-25). The Sooners (19-7, 6-4 Big 12) matched the Cyclones (18-4, 9-2 Big 12) block-for-block but were unable to gain an advantage in other areas to down ISU.

The Cyclones out-dug OU 92-80 and despite having one more error than the Sooners, ISU put down more kills (73-56) and had a higher hitting percentage at .292 compared to Oklahoma's .210 clip.

Freshman Tara Dunn led OU with 19 kills and 10 digs for her eighth double-double this year. Dunn added one block assist for 18.5 points, a team-best. Suzy Boulavsky added 17 kills, hitting .372 with just one attack error in 43 attempts. Boulavsky added two block assists for 18.0 points.

Five Sooners tallied double-digit kills, led by Maria Fernanda's match-high 26. Dunn's 10 digs were joined by 10 from Caitlin Higgins, 11 from Eden Williams and 14 from Brianne Barker. Barker also added 42 assists for her 19th double-double this year.

Keila Rodriguez started her sixth match this year and tied a career high with eight kills. She also had three assists, a career best and four digs.

Oklahoma matched Iowa State with seven total blocks, and Sallie McLaurin led all defenders with five total, including a season-high three block solos. McLaurin added six kills.

Carly Jenson led Iowa State with 25 kills and 16 digs. Jamie Straube added 16 kills and three service aces. Kesley Peterson also registered double-digit kills with 12, as she hit a match-best .500. Alison Landwehr also had a double-double with 64 assists and 16 digs. Kristen Hahn led the Cyclones with 24 digs, while Tenisha Matlock added four blocks.

Oklahoma returns to action next Wednesday at Kansas State. First serve from Ahearn Fieldhouse is set for 7 p.m. CT. The match airs regionally on FSKC. Live stats are available at SoonerSports.com.
