Mens Tennis Takes On Cowley County & East Central

The Oklahoma men’s tennis team (4-0) will host Cowley County Community College and East Central University on Sun., Feb. 29, in a doubleheader match at the OU Headington Family Tennis Center in Norman. The Sooners will face Cowley County Community College at 9 a.m. followed by East Central at 2 p.m. Admission is free.

 Oklahoma is looking for another win over the two Division II teams. The Sooners have defeated the Cowley CountyTigers for seven straight seasons since 1997, including a 7-0 win a year ago. Oklahoma has not played East Central since the 1994 and 1995 seasons when they conquered the Tigers, 9-0, in each match.
 After defeating Oklahoma Baptist and Oral Roberts, OU then took the UNLV Invitational title for the first time since 1990. Oklahoma defeated Weber State in the first round of the invitational, 7-0, UNLV in the semifinals, 6-1, and captured the championship with a 4-0 victory over Texas-Arlington. The Sooner men only gave up one singles match and two doubles matches in Las Vegas.
