Oklahoma Head Coach Sherri Coale:

On the game:
"I think we played our best defensive game of the year today. We did a great job of grabbing the rebounds and moving KU's shooting game outside. KU is a very athletic team, and they like to take post shots. If they got those shots inside, we could not stop them. Sunny Hardeman did a good defensive job against Suzi Raymant. She didn't let her get many threes off. In the second half, we had our players step up and shoot. Stacey Dales did a great job at the perimeter, and all around, we did a great job shooting threes. I thought that we came out defensively flat in the second half compared to the first half. Being able to take away KU's strengths was very significant. Our challenge now is to see how we can play and get better. We're going to try to win a Big 12 championship and our intention is to not just play one game in the NCAA tournament and come home."

Oklahoma Sophomore Guard Stacey Dales:

"Lynn Pride knows how to penetrate the game. She's a very solid post player and I knew I had to keep her post game outside. I knew my job was to keep her outside and off the boards. This season, I've taken more pride in my defense because coach Coale has given me some defensive challenges. I think overall my defensive game has improved and I've become more confident."

Kansas Head Coach Marian Washington

On the game:
"I knew they'd be tough. The first half was disappointing but I'm proud that we didn't give up. They were very aggressive on us and we didn't respond. That's where we lost. I'm proud of the way we played. It was an even ballgame in the second half. We can't worry about how it's called, we just need to stay with what we do best. They're a very good team, even better at home."

On the physical play of Oklahoma:
"There was a lot of holding and a lot of pushing. We needed to get tougher. We didn't understand how it was called. We did a better job of getting anchored in the post in the second half."
