One of the most talented gymnasts on the OU team, Leticia Ishii has accomplished much after only two years of collegiate competition. The Sao Paulo, Brazil, native was the lone Sooner to earn All-Big 12 honors in two events this year (all-around and the floor exercise). Ishii, winner of eight all-around titles, holds Oklahoma records on the floor (9.950) and in the all-around (39.650). An outstanding student as well, Ishii was an Academic All-American in 2000 and has been an Academic All-Big 12 selection twice. She was named the University's Outstanding Female Scholar Athlete of the Year (along with Stacey Dales) for 2000-01 school year.
