Oklahoma (5-6) is coming off a 5-2 loss to Rice in Houston last Sunday. The Sooners have faced eight teams currently ranked in the ITA top 50 in their last nine matches.
"I believe we match up well at certain spots against Oklahoma State," OU head coach David Mullins said. "But, we are definitely going to have to be perfect at each of those spots to give ourselves a chance."
Oklahoma State (6-2) enters Saturday's match after back-to-back wins at the Blue Gray Tennis Classic over Princeton and Auburn. OSU's two losses this season were to Arkansas and Alabama.
"OSU is very good in doubles and has a little bit more depth than us this year," Mullins added. "Hopefully the tough schedule we have played to date will allow us to find another level tomorrow. I am starting to learn that this will always be a tough match no matter the rankings or records."
The doubles point will be crucial Saturday against the Cowgirls, OU has won the doubles point in all five of its wins and lost the doubles point in all six losses.
OU is led in doubles by Marie-Pier Huet and Whitney Ritchie. The duo is ranked No. 34 nationally in doubles and holds a team-best 8-3 record at the No. 1 position.
