NORMAN, Okla. - The University of Oklahoma men's golf team shot a final-round score of 310 to finish tied for 11th place at the NCAA Central Regional at Pleasant Valley Country Club in Little Rock, Ark. The Sooners finished one shot shy of placing in the top-10 and earning a trip to the NCAA Championships in Columbus, Ohio.

"Obviously we're disappointed that we won't be going to Columbus," said Oklahoma Head Coach Jim Ragan. "We had a good season and we played some awfully good golf at times. Unfortunately, we've had a couple occasions as of late where we didn't get it done in the last round and today was one of those days."

OU was led by senior Cody Freeman (Arnett, Okla.) who carded a final-round 75 (+3) to tie for ninth overall with a total score of 215 (-1). It was Freeman's sixth top-10 finish of the season and it was also his sixth time to lead the Sooners at a tournament this year.

Junior John Kidwell (Dallas, Texas) finished the tournament with a 76 to tie for 26th with a 220 (+4). Sophomore Doug Manor (Garland, Texas) and senior J.D. Robertson (Little Rock, Ark.) each tied for 85th with a final score of 229 (+13). Robertson posted a final-round 79 while Manor shot an 80. Freshman Martin Flores (Mansfield, Texas) rounded out the scoring for Oklahoma with an 82.
