Borman Wins Mean Green Javelin Title

DENTON, Texas — Brittany Borman claimed her fourth individual title of the season with a win in the javelin at the Mean Green Twilight Saturday on the campus of the University of North Texas. The junior unleashed a throw of 166-9 (50.84), her third-best throw of the season, to win the event by over nine feet on.

Borman’s win was one of three top-three finishes for the Oklahoma travel party that included a select group of field athletes. K.P. Signh took second in the men’s hammer throw with a mark of 203-6 (62.02) to lead all collegiate athletes by over 13 feet.

Conrad Aaron rounded out the top-three finishes as he was third in the men’s shot put with his third-best throw of the season, 56-5.75 (17.21). The sophomore finished second among collegiate athletes while leading all Big 12 athletes in the event.
