Men's Tennis Rolls Over USAO In Season-Opening Matches

NORMAN, Okla. - In its first matches of the 2002 season, the Oklahoma men's tennis team defeated the University of Oklahoma-Science and Arts in Oklahoma City at the Woodlake Racquet Club. The Sooners claimed all 12 singles matches and six of seven doubles matches in the victory to move to 2-0 on the season.

"I was pleased with our teams' effort today for it being the opening matches of the season," said head coach Paul Lockwood. "However, we still have a lot of work to do in the upcoming weeks."

The Sooners are back in action on Tuesday, Feb. 5 at New Mexico. Match time with the Lobos is set for 2 p.m.
