With the 69-47 win over Coppin State (1-6), Oklahoma improved to 5-1 and won its fifth consecutive game this season. The win also marked the Sooners' 27th straight at the Lloyd Noble Center and improved OU to 9-0 all-time against the Eagles.
At the half, Oklahoma was shooting 56% from the field (10-18), 50% from three-point range (5-10) and was perfect from the foul line (10-10).
Hollis Price led the Sooners with a season-high 22 points. Price also hit a season-high five three-pointers. Ebi Ere finished with 10 points. It marked the first game this season Ere did not lead OU in points.
Oklahoma held Coppin State to 47 points - the fewest points allowed by the Sooners this season. The Sooners held an 11-0 advantage in both fast break points and points off turnovers.
Freshman Kevin Bookout had a season-high 11 rebounds to lead all players. Oklahoma out-rebounded the Eagles 37-28 for the game. Bookout has started all six games for OU this season.
Oklahoma blocked a season-high five shots with Ebi Ere rejecting two. Bookout, White and Turner each had a block.
OU hit 16 of 21 free throws (76.2%) with Bookout (3-for-3), Quannas White (4-for-4) and Alexander De'Angelo (2-for-2) each perfect from the charity stripe. Oklahoma came into the game shooting 73.3% from the foul line. The Sooners converted on all 10 free throws they attempted in the first half.
Quannas White tied his season high in points with 13. White also had 13 points against UC Irvine. He added seven assists to give him 16 over the past two games.
