Streaking Women's Basketball Continues Strong Play

NORMAN, Okla. (AP) - Phylesha Whaley scored 20 points Wednesday night and No. 22 Oklahoma stayed perfect in the Big 12 with its ninth straight victory, 87-59 over Baylor.

The Sooners (18-3, 8-0) have won 17 of 18 games and are off to the best start in school history.

LaNeishea Caufield had 15 points for Oklahoma, Jadrea Seeley had 14, and Caton Hill had 12 points and 11 rebounds.

Danielle Crockrom had 15 points for Baylor (5-13, 0-8) and Mandy Hayworth added 11. The Bears shot just 33 percent and were outrebounded 52-33.

The Sooners went on a 19-6 run at the end of the first half and started the second half with a 16-3 run, pushing their lead to 29 with just more than 13 minutes to play.
