Oklahoma Head Coach Kelvin Sampson
On the win coming off the Mississippi State game:
"When we set our schedule up we expected to beat Mississippi State. We scored 45 points. I'm still trying to figure that one out. We bounced back and scored 100 tonight."
"Losing is part of college basketball. You don't fret over your losses."
"I don't need to know what the problem is. What special people do is try and find a solution. What we had to do was get back to the practice court yesterday and figure something out."
On the team's balanced scoring:
"We spread it around. One of my goals before the game was to have five guys in double figures. That's the way we have to play."
On his team's concentration:
"Sometimes you have to concentrate on concentrating. We're going to have bad shooting games, but when you defend and rebound you can still win those games."
Freshman Forward Kevin Bookout
On the game and playing Michigan State:
"I think this game really got our confidence up. Coach wanted us to get the ball inside tonight and establish our post game. This should help us out in our next game against Michigan State. Hopefully, we'll have a big crowd and come out with a W."
On scoring 100 points coming off the Mississippi State game:
"We really got our offense going tonight. The guards were getting the ball to me on the inside from the beginning tonight. They were really unselfish and it worked to our advantage."
Junior Center Jabahri Brown
On coming off the loss to Mississippi State: "You're still going to have the taste of a loss in your mouth but it felt really good to be able to score that many points tonight. This game helps us out but we haven't forgotten about our last game."
On playing Michigan State on Saturday:
"Michigan State is one of the great powerhouse programs in the nation. It's going to be another test for this team that can only help us out in the long run."
UNC-Asheville Head Coach Eddie Biedenbach
On the game:
"It was a tough game. We're a better team than we showed tonight. We made Oklahoma's big guys healthy again. All of their guys played well tonight. Oklahoma is a top-10 team. They play tough defense with great pressure. Oklahoma has played great defense forever and tonight was no exception."
On the Oklahoma basketball program:
"Oklahoma has a great program. It was great for us to come here and play them. We need to play in arenas like this, against a team that tough to run your offense against and is tough to defend."
On the Sooners' first half lead:
"The score may not indicate it, but we played much better defensively in the first half. We gave up some easy points off turnovers and didn't guard the three-point (shot) a couple of times down the floor."
