NORMAN, Okla. - The University of Oklahoma women's basketball team will host Texas A&M on Wednesday, Jan. 12, in its second Big 12 Conference game of the season. The game has a tip time of 7:30 p.m. and will be televised nationally by Fox Sports Network at the Lloyd Noble Center in Norman.

Wednesday's outing will end a five-game homestand for the Sooners, who have not played a road game since Dec. 18. Oklahoma stands at 1-0 in the league with its opening win coming against 13th-ranked Texas Tech, 82-76, Saturday. OU is 11-3 on the season. In its last 11 games, Oklahoma owns a record of 10-1 with its only loss being against No. 1 Connecticut. Senior Phylesha Whaley leads four Sooners in double digit scoring with 19.0 points and 8.0 rebounds per game. Sophomore guards LaNeishea Caufield and Stacey Dales scores 13.5 and 12.3, respectively, while freshman Caton Hill contributes 10.4 points and 6.8 rebounds a game.

As a team, Oklahoma scores 79.2 points and collects 39.4 rebounds per contest, compared to its opponents 65.4 points and 30.1 rebounds per try.

Texas A&M comes into the game ranked seventh in the early Big 12 Conference standings with a 1-1 record and own an overall record of 9-3. The Aggies have put together two four-game winning streaks and surpassed the century mark once with a 103-52 win over Texas-Pan American. Texas A&M lost to Tulane, 91-74, Rice, 60-57, and Oklahoma State, 61-42. The Aggies are averaging 13.2 steals a game along with 6.1 blocked shots per game.
