Oklahoma Head Coach Sherri Coale
On the game:
"I was very proud of our team. I thought we played very hard and that's what we've been working on the past couple of days. We've been emphasizing taking care of the basketball and we were better in that regard. Our defensive intensity was better and I think we played well together."

On Theresa Schuknecht:
"Southeast Missouri State is a different team than what we've been playing the past couple of weeks. They don't have a big, strong, lay on you kind of post player. Theresa is so agile and able to move around. She creates things around the basket and took advantage of her agility tonight. I think it was good for her physically to have a few days off. She got a spring back in her step. She's not the thickest post player on the floor, so she gets the worse end of it. I think the time off definitely helped her."

On Lauren Shoush:
"I thought Lauren was terrific. We saw just the tip of the iceberg of what she's capable of doing. We said all along she's a crafty passer. She's very clever with the basketball, but sometimes she doesn't give herself a chance to do the things she's capable of doing. She had two very good practices leading up to today. That's why she went in so early and she carried herself when she went out on the floor like she belonged there and the reason for that is she had earned it in practice. She knew it and we knew it. She took advantage of the opportunity. It was so good to see her smile and enjoy what she was doing. She was really a spark for our team."

Oklahoma Player Quotes

Sophomore Dionnah Jackson
On the game:
"We had a lot of fun tonight. We came out to play and played hard just like how we practiced all week."

Senior Theresa Schuknecht
On the game:
"We fed off each other today. Especially, with Lauren Shoush making those plays. That was motivating for me. We started off on defense and that led to easy baskets on offense and lots of transition baskets. It all started with our energy."
