NORMAN, Okla. - University of Oklahoma sophomore forward Logan Womack was selected to the All-Big 12 soccer first team, the conference announced today. She became the first Sooner to ever earn all-conference first-team honors. The all-conference teams were voted on by the league coaches.
Womack leads the team this year with 13 goals and 27 points, both single-season OU marks. The Norman native is currently second on the Oklahoma's all-time list in goals (20) and points (43). This year, Womack has tallied seven game-winning goals and has scored in nine of OU's 11 wins.
Last year as a freshman, Womack was selected to the All-Big 12 second team, as well as the conference All-Newcomer team.
Womack leads Oklahoma (11-6-1 overall, 4-5-1 in the conference) into the Big 12 Tournament for the second consecutive year. The team, seeded sixth, will take on Texas A&M, the No. 3 seed, Thursday at 7:30 p.m. The Aggies finished the regular season 11-3-1 and 8-1-1 in the Big 12.
