HILO, Hawaii - The University of Oklahoma men's golf team shot a second-round score of 286 to move into a tie for 10th place with Arizona State on Thursday at the Taylor Made Waikoloa Intercollegiate in Hilo, Hawaii. The Sooners currently have a total score of 581 (+5) while Georgia Tech continues to lead the tournament with a total of 566 (-10).

Junior John Kidwell (Dallas, Texas) fired a second-round 69 to lead OU in the second round and is tied for 11th place overall at one under-par (143). Senior Cody Freeman (Arnett, Okla.) and sophomore Martin Flores (Mansfield, Texas) each shot even-par (72) in the second round. Freeman moved into a tie for 46th overall with two-round score of 147 (+3) while Flores is one shot back and tied for 56th.

Sophomore Doug Manor (Garland, Texas) rebounded after a tough first round of 78 to post a second-round 73 and finish out the day tied with a total of 151. Sophomore Blake Martin (Stigler, Okla.) rounded out the scores for Oklahoma with a 78 placing him tied with Flores for 56th.

OU begins final-round play Friday morning at 6:45 a.m. (10:45 CST).
