NORMAN, Okla. -- The University of Oklahoma men's golf squad returns to action this week at the Puerto Rico Classic, held Feb. 21-23 at the par-72, 6,902-yard Rio Mar Country Club in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico.
The 54-hole event features 18 holes each day, commencing with a 6 a.m. (CT) shotgun start on Sunday and Monday, and a 5:30 a.m. (CT) shotgun start in Tuesday's final round.
The Sooners face 10 squads ranked in the latest Golfweek/Sagarin ratings, including top-ranked Oklahoma State and No. 10 Texas. Other top-40 squads in the 15-team field are No. 12 Alabama, No. 19 Georgia Tech, No. 24 Georgia, No. 28 Clemson, No. 36 Kent State, No. 37 East Tennessee State, No. 40 Virginia Tech and No. 42 Michigan.
Oklahoma will utilize the same lineup it competed in the spring opener last week, featuring Ben Blundell, Ben Klaus, Liam Logan, Riley Pumphrey and Tyler Rody.
Pumphrey paced the Sooners last week in a share of 22nd, highlighted by his hole-in-one during the second round.
