NORMAN, Okla. -- The University of Oklahoma women's tennis team hopes to claim a victory against state rival, Tulsa, Wednesday, March 1. The match is scheduled to begin at 1:30 p.m. at the Westwood Tennis Courts in Norman, Okla. The Sooners are ranked 62nd in the latest ITA poll while TU is ranked at 61st. Individualy, OU's top singles player, Viviana Mracnova, enters the match ranked 85th nationally.

OU women are looking to bump their record to 4-3 after three consecutive losses to Texas-Arlington, TCU and Texas. Tulsa is coming to Norman riding off a two-game winning streak, including a win over 42nd ranked Kansas. Earlier this spring, TU captured wins against nationally ranked Rice (68th) UTEP (74th). In the last meeting against Tulsa, on March 31 of last year, the Sooners won 5-4.
