Oklahoma Soccer Looks To Make It Four Wins In A Row

Big 12 Winning Streak
OU will look to make it four straight Big 12 wins when it travels to Waco, Texas, to take on Baylor at 7 p.m. Friday.

Conference Shutouts
Oklahoma ran its winning streak to three games with a pair of victories over the weekend against Texas Tech (3-0 on Friday) and Colorado (4-0 on Sunday) in Norman.

Senior Jonette Coquat scored a pair of goals in the victory over the Red Raiders while junior Krissy Dawson and sophomore Logan Womack each notched two scores in the win over the Buffaloes. Freshman goalkeeper Catherine Wade picked up the shutouts in both games.

New Record Holder
Logan Womack established a new school mark with her ninth goal of the season against Colorado. The sophomore forward from Norman also set the school mark for points in a season (21).

Defensive Numbers
Oklahoma continues to establish itself as a defensive force on the field.

OU's eight shutouts this season are a school record and the Sooners have notched seven consecutive shutout victories at home.

Oklahoma ranks second in the nation in goals allowed per game at 0.36 and Catherine Wade ranks 12th in the country with a 0.47 goals-against average.

Wade Honored
Catherine Wade became the second Sooner to earn Big 12 Defensive Player-of-the-Week honors.

Wade led OU to back-to-back shutouts this past weekend over Texas Tech and Colorado and improved her record to 6-1 on the year. Wade has allowed only three goals in 570 minutes this year.

Christen Secrest was the other Sooner honored with the award this year.

About Baylor
The Bears (4-6 overall, 0-4 Big 12) are looking for their first win in the conference and hope to rebound from last Sunday's 6-0 loss to Texas A&M. Baylor is riding a school-record four-game losing streak.

The Bears are led by April Robertson's five goals.

Baylor and OU battled to a scoreless tie last year in Norman. Baylor leads the all-time series, 2-1-1.

Facts and Figures
*During the past two weekends, the Sooners defeated two Big 12 teams for the first time in school history: Missouri and Texas Tech. The only two schools OU hasn't beaten yet are Texas A&M and Oklahoma State.

*Oklahoma is one win away from tying school record for number of victories in a season (10), set last year.

* The Sooners have out shot its opposition, 158-24, in six games at home this season.

*OU is one score away from tying the team record for number of goals in a season (30 in 1998).

*Logan Womack has scored a goal in eight of OU's nine victories this year.

The Sooners will be at home to take on Iowa State on Friday, Oct. 19 at 7 p.m. On Sunday, Oct. 21, OU hosts Nebraska at 1 p.m.
