NORMAN, Okla. -- The Sooner soccer team (6-4-1, 2-1 Big 12) finishes up the weekend on Sunday, Oct. 3, in Columbia, Mo., for a match-up with Missouri (3-5-2) at 1 p.m. The Tigers are 1-1 in Big 12 play after taking down Kansas, 4-1, in their lone match last weekend and falling 3-1 to Oklahoma State at home on Friday.
Alysha Bonnick and Krista Kruse lead the Tiger offense with five goals apiece, totals that rank in the top 10 in the conference.

OU dropped a 1-0 double overtime decision to Missouri at home in 2009 and last topped the Tigers during the 2006 campaign, a 3-2 win in Norman. Last Time Out
The Sooners posted another one-goal victory on Friday night with a 4-3 win at Iowa State after holding a 3-1 halftime lead. The high-scoring affair was Oklahoma’s first road game in conference play and third win on the road in 2010.
The Sooners are 3-3 on the road in 2010 after posting a 1-6-1 mark away from home a year ago.
Each of the seven goals in the game came in the first 60 minutes with OU’s Whitney Palmer tallying the game winner in the 55th minute. The goal was Palmer’s fourth of the season and 33rd of her career. She ranks second all-time in career goals at Oklahoma, one behind Logan Womack.
Samantha Howell, Caitlin Mooney and Kelsey Kraft also found the back of the net for the Sooners.
OU plays one more non-conference game next weekend when Francis Marion visits Norman on Friday, Oct. 8 for a 7 p.m. game. It marks the first meeting in the series with the Patriots.
On Sunday, Oct. 10, OU returns to Big 12 play at Kansas for a 1 p.m. contest. The Jayhawks won a 2-1 decision in Norman last season and lead the all-time series 9-4-1, including a 5-2 advantage in Lawrence, Kan.
Nine of the 11 games in 2010 have been decided by one goal or less with OU holding a 6-2-1 record. The Sooners have already surpassed the win total from a year ago in those decisive games and lead the Big 12 in wins in that category. Oklahoma was 2-4-2 in games played in 2009 decided by one goal or less and 3-5-1 in head coach Nicole Nelson’s first season (2008).
