NORMAN, Okla. -- Nicole Griffin scored 21 points and Sharane Campbell and Joanna McFarland each posted double-doubles Sunday as No. 23 Oklahoma routed No. 22 Oklahoma State 80-61.

The Sooners (18-5, 8-3 Big 12) took the lead for good at 27-26 late in the first half, held a 31-28 edge at halftime, then shot 53 percent in the second half to turn the Bedlam rivalry game into a runaway.

"We beat a really good basketball team today and I was proud of our guys' poise," OU Head Coach Sherri Coale said. "At the start of the night we didn't shoot it very well, obviously, but we didn't let it affect our energy level. We didn't let it affect our confidence."

The Sooners began the game 2-of-10 from the field before running their offense through Campbell, Griffin and McFarland, who would make five of Oklahoma's next six field goals and tie the game 16-16 with 9 minutes remaining in the first period.

Campbell had 15 points and 12 rebounds while McFarland posted 10 points and a career high-tying 15 rebounds for Oklahoma. Aaryn Ellenberg scored 17 points for the Sooners while Morgan Hook had 10 assists.

Kendra Suttles led Oklahoma State (16-6, 5-6) with 15 points and nine rebounds. Liz Donohoe scored 13, Brittney Martin had 12 points and Toni Young finished with 10 points for the Cowgirls.

While holding OU's leading scorer Aaryn Ellenberg to just two first-half points, Oklahoma State had no help to defend Griffin, who had the advantage in one-on-one matchups all afternoon.

"She did a great job of putting the ball on the floor and laying out, and not just settling for a jump hook," Coale said. "Her jump hook is great and that's a tough weapon, but what she really did this afternoon that was effective was laying out and using her legs to the rim, or shoot a reverse, or get underneath the defense."

Oklahoma finished at 48 percent from the field while OSU shot 35 percent. The Sooners matched a season high by making 24 2-point field goals.

"We played pretty well for 17 minutes and then we had a little adversity and it did not end with adversity," OSU Head Coach Jim Littell said. "It was quite evident that the game plan was to attack our post and Nicole Griffin had a great game. Joanna McFarland hustles after every loose ball and competes and plays extremely hard. That's where we're trying to get our team to be and we're not there right now."

The victory gave Oklahoma a 4-3 advantage in this year's Oklahoma Farm Bureau Bedlam Series standings and capped an undefeated weekend for OU's athletics teams that had wins in men's basketball, women's gymnastics, men's and women's tennis, a Winter Cup title from men's gymnast Jake Dalton and 5-0 start for softball's opening weekend.
The Sooners next host No. 25 Iowa State for their annual Pack the Place Pink Game Thursday, Feb. 14, at 7 p.m.
