Mens Tennis To Host Southwest Missouri State

The Oklahoma men’s tennis team (10-1) will host regional foe Southwest Missouri State on Fri., March 12 at the OU Headington Family Tennis Center in Norman. Action is set to begin at 2 p.m. Admission is free.

In head coach Paul Lockwood’s 16 seasons at Oklahoma, the Sooners have only fell once to Southwest Missouri State in 2001. OU defeated the Bears, 4-2, in the 2003 season. 
 
Oklahoma crushed Cameron, 7-0, on Wednesday in Norman, knocking the Aggies to 5-4 on the season. The Sooners won all six singles matches and two out of the three doubles games.

Two Sooner newcomers remain undefeated in singles play after eleven matches. Sophomore Lee Gregg (Altus, Okla.) is 10-0 on the season and freshman Marek Velicka (Prerov, Czech Republic) has an 11-0 overall record.
