NCAA Women's Basketball Tickets Are A Hot Item

NORMAN, Okla. - NCAA Division I Women's Basketball all-session tickets are currently on sale at the Oklahoma Athletic Ticket Office for $30 (adult) and $20 (college student and under). Sooner fans are encouraged to purchase their tickets by 5 p.m. on Friday, March 21, to secure a seat and avoid long lines on game days.

OU has never lost an opening game in the NCAA Tournament and has sold out the Lloyd Noble Center for its last two NCAA Championship games. The Sooners welcome No. 2 seed Villanova (25-5), No. 7 George Washington (24-6) and No. 15 Saint Francis (23-7) to the subregional at the Lloyd Noble Center in Norman, Okla., on March 23 and 25. In this week's Associated Press and USA Today/ESPN Coaches polls Villanova is ranked 11th and 12th, respectively, while George Washington came in at No. 25 in both polls after not being ranked the previous week.

NCAA tickets may also be purchased from 8-5 p.m. by visiting the OU Ticket Office located on the Plaza Level of the Asp Avenue Parking Facility or by calling 405-325-2424 or 800-456-4668. Tickets are also available 24 hours a day online at

Head Coach Sherri Coale has guided Oklahoma to its fourth straight and sixth overall appearance in the NCAA Championship. The Sooners (19-12) enter this year's championship as the No. 10 seed in the Mideast Region. This marks the third consecutive year Oklahoma has hosted NCAA first and second round games.

The Sooners will face George Washington on Sunday, March 23, 30 minutes after the completion of the first game between Villanova and Saint Francis at 6 p.m. CST. The winners of Sunday's games will advance to the second round game on Tuesday, March 25.

On Saturday, March 22, tickets will be available for purchase at the East Box Office at the Lloyd Noble Center from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. On Sunday, tickets will be on sale beginning at 1 p.m. Will Call tickets will be available at the OU ticket office until 5 p.m. on Friday. Will call windows will open on Sunday at 3 p.m.
