  • OU's 97 points is a season high and the 37-point margin of victory ties as the 19th largest in school history.
  • The team tied its best effort of the year as they hit six three pointers. By going 6 of 15 (.400) the squad erased its previous best three-point percentage. The team also tied its season best in steals with 17 and set a new best for assists with 26. The five blocked shots also was a season high.
  • Oklahoma picked up its first victory ever over Sam Houston State, the series is tied at one apiece.
  • Of the 120 minutes played on OU's home court the Sooners have trailed for 1:20.
  • Tonight's win is OU's third in five days, this is the quickest a Sherri Coale team has picked up three victories. During the final year of Burl Plunkett's career (1995-96) the Sooners won four-straight in a five-day period.
  • This is the quickest the team has gotten to four wins since the 1985-86 season, the fourth win of that year also came on December 2.
  • Between 7:31 and 3:41 OU went on a 15-0 run, this equals the largest amount of unanswered points OU has posted on the year. OU also ended the Tennessee Tech contest with a 15-0 run.
  • OU remains perfect when leading at the half (4-0).
  • The 52 first half points are the most OU has scored in the opening period this season. The 28-point half-time lead is also a season high and is also the most the Bearkats have trailed by at intermission this year.
  • Phylesha Whaley and Stacey Dales had first half season bests with 16 and 12 points, respectively.
  • This is Whaley's sixth consecutive game scoring in double figures, and her fourth straight scoring 20 or more. She had a season high in assists with three.
  • With 24 minutes played Whaley moves into sixth on the all-time school list.
  • Dales tied her career-best effort with 10 assists. At the half she had nine, one off of Angie Alexander who owns the school record for assists in a half with 10. (1-21-91)
  • Dales had a season best seven field goals.
  • Dales was perfect, 4-4, from behind the three point arc, this ties Sunny Hardeman as the most three pointers in a game from any Sooner this year.
  • As a team OU recorded its best field goal percentage on the year, .561. Oklahoma also hit a season best 37 field goals.
  • With three steals Hardeman tied her career record.
  • Desiree Taylor set new season highs with 11 points and seven rebounds. She also hit a season best five from the free throw line.
  • Emily Britt recorded the first points of her career.
