NORMAN, Okla. - The Sooners rolled to a 4-nil victory over visiting Texas Tech at a hot and sunny John Crain Field in Norman on Sunday afternoon.

Oklahoma (8-2-0, 2-0-0 Big 12) peppered the Tech goal with shots from the onset finishing with 27 total and nine on goal. Tech managed 10 shots with three on goal but could not find the net for a score. OU recorded its sixth shutout in 10 games this season and earned the second consecutive win in the series with the Red Raiders (2-8-0, 0-2-0 Big 12).

Senior forward Krissy Dawson (Peoria, Ariz.) wasted little time in putting OU up with her goal in the seventh minute of play. Dawson knocked in a free kick from the left corner over the head of Tech's Lippert and the Sooners took the 1-0 lead in to the half.

In the 55th minute, freshman Lauren MacIver (Tulsa, Okla.) received the ball from Dawson and blasted it in from 30 yards out for the second score of the day. MacIver welcomed another ball from senior Shannon Wing (Broken Arrow, Okla.) just six minutes later and scored again from 25 yards out to push the score to 3-nil.

Krissy Dawson wrapped up the scoring barrage in the 65th minute on a cross from Wing and placed it neatly in the left corner of the box for the final tally.

Oklahoma played every keeper on the roster when Jana Cunningham (Tulsa, Okla.) replaced starter Catherine Wade (Midland, Texas) in the 70th minute and Keara Jones (Pryor, Okla.) replaced Cunningham in the 86th. Each of the keepers tallied one save during their time in the box.

The Sooners wrap up their three-game homestand on Friday, Oct. 4 when the TCU Horned Frogs invade Norman at 7:30 p.m.

OU returns to Big 12 conference action on Sunday, Oct. 7 in Ames, Iowa against the Cyclones of Iowa State.
