KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- It was a pair of overshadowed Oklahoma players that put the Sooners into the Big 12 tournament semifinal. It was Texas A&M’s that helped the Aggies win it.

Texas A&M advanced to the Big 12 Championship Game for the fifth straight year, knocking Oklahoma out of the conference tournament for the fourth consecutive time with a 79-66 win Friday.

Texas A&M senior guard Skylar Collins had a season-high 15 points and junior Kristi Bellock totaled six points and eight rebounds, all the second half, as the Aggies dominated in the paint.

Oklahoma trailed 40-35 at halftime and held close to Texas A&M through the first four minutes of the second half. Then Collins and Bellock teamed up to lead the Aggies on a 17-5 run from which they never relented.

Whitney Hand scored a season-high 24 points and Aaryn Ellenberg scored 13. Sharane Campbell, who led the Sooners from off the bench with 22 points Friday, scored 11.

Kelsey Bone led the Aggies with 16 points.

Oklahoma and Texas A&M were even in rebounding leading the to final 16 minutes. From there, Texas A&M grabbed 20 to OU's nine.

The Sooners made just 38 percent of its shots while the Aggies hit 47 percent.

Texas A&M faces undefeated Baylor in Saturday’s championship game.
