NORMAN, Okla.- The University of Oklahoma men's golf team concluded first round action at the Carpet Capital Collegiate in Rocky Farm, Ga., tied for ninth place with three other schools. After a four hour rain delay, the Sooners finished out the day with a team score of 294 (+6) at The Farm golf course (par-72, 6,906-yards).

OU was led by juniors Martin Flores (Mansfield, Texas) and Doug Manor (Garland, Texas), who each carded first-round scores of even-par 72 and are tied for 25th place.

One shot behind the pair of juniors is senior John Kidwell (Dallas, Texas), who is tied for 34th. Junior Blake Martin (Stigler, Okla.) finished out the scoring for Oklahoma with a score of 77.

The Sooners begin second-round action Saturday morning.
