Lloyd Noble Center - Norman, Okla.
OU Head Coach Sherri Coale
On the game:
"I thought our kids played hard. I appreciate the effort and I'm proud of them. I thought this game would be decided on the backboard and we out rebounded them. I think that was the difference in the game. Once again most of our baskets came off assists and that's a reflection of good, solid offense. I am sure 23 assists is a season-high for us and that is why we were able to score 78 points."
On Dionnah Jackson:
"I told our team in the locker room that that is a perfect example of what an impact you can have on the game when you are not scoring points. Sometimes kids will let their intensity level be affected by whether or not the ball is going in the basket. What Dionnah did tonight is a perfect example of how much you can effect what happens on the court even if you not scoring. Dionnah Jackson is probably the main reason we won this game."
On shooting performance:
"I think you have to go with whatever is working. Sometimes your inside guys are scoring and sometimes you hitting threes. We had a lot of threes, particularly in transition. I thought Chelsi turned down three or four in transition in the second half that I would have liked her to pull the trigger on. You just take advantage of the situation and I am just going to tell (Laura) Andrews that we are playing Baylor for the rest of the year."
Sophomore Dionnah Jackson
On transition game:
"It all came from our rebounds. The main focus tonight was rebounding and long outlet passes."
On her not scoring until the final shot:
"Anytime we have four people in double digits it is good for us. There were lots of extra passes and people finding a spot to be in.
On her shooting 10 three's:
"I was open a lot and I missed too many. If the shot is there I will shoot."
On the second half run:
"There is a point where you feel like you are doing great and you just carry that over."
BU Head Coach Kim Mulkey-Robertson
On Baylor's offense:
"We're still looking for our offense. Everything we did tonight was hard. We couldn't get a loose ball or we'd miss a lay-up. But we're still fighting and searching for our offense."
On OU's Maria Villarroel:
"Maria got all of her points in transition. That's her game and we didn't do a very good job of stopping her in transition. She didn't play like that in Waco because she was in foul trouble."
