OU Launches Sooner Fan Ambassadors

NORMAN, Okla. -- Oklahoma fans have built the Sooners into a social media powerhouse. The OU Athletics Department is nearing half a million fans across its official platforms on Facebook, Twitter, Google+, YouTube and its weekly Boomerblast email newsletter.
The department recognizes that some of its biggest fans are also its biggest advocates online. For that reason, OU is working to identify, reward and involve those fans to a greater degree with the Sooners.
Today, the OU Athletics Department introduces its Sooner Fan Ambassadors program. Participants will have the opportunity for VIP experiences with their favorite Sooner teams, lead discussion on OU's official social media platforms and interact with other die-hard Sooner fans.
Sooner fans active on social media should apply online to be considered for this program. The Athletics Department will review applicants on an on-going basis to identify and engage its biggest supporters.
