Chavarria gave OU the victory after a quick match at No. 4 singles.  The OU captain defeated Hamon, 6-1, 6-1.  Fellow senior Ryan Thomas picked up another victory at No. 5 singles as he overpowered Gonzalo Bienzobas, 6-4, 6-4.  Freshman Alex Joitoiu finished off the match with a 6-4, 6-1 victory over Hari at No. 6 singles.

"I think playing two matches today helped us in more ways than one to get our focus ready for Baylor on Sunday," Lockwood added.  "We know that we are going to need to play almost perfect tennis to beat the Bears who are year-in-and-year-out one of the top teams in the Big 12 and in the country. But I know our team and fans are excited about the opportunity."

Sophomore Andrei Daescu is ranked No. 32 in the ITA singles rankings.

Next up, the Sooners host Baylor on Sunday, April 13, at the Headington Family Tennis Center.  The match is slated for a 2 p.m. start.
