Sooners Win Seven Events at OBU

SHAWNEE, Okla. – The University of Oklahoma track and field teams combined for seven wins on Saturday at the Bison Invitational. The highlight of the day came from Rylee Rackley as she won the women’s hammer throw with a collegiate-best mark of 180 feet, nine inches. The mark moves Rackley into second on the Oklahoma program list in the event. Angel Togafau finished second behind Rackley, throwing 173-9, a season best for the senior.

Alex Morgan won the women’s discus throw (155-6) and took second in the shot put with a mark of 42-10.75, a collegiate best. Rackley took fifth in the women’s shot put with a season-best mark of 41-10.50.

Ashley Kowalewski won her first collegiate throws title with a mark of 127-7 in the women’s javelin throw. Holden Mitchell took the men’s hammer throw with a collegiate-best 184-3, the fourth best mark in program history.

Landon Sharp cleared a collegiate best 6-8 in the men’s high jump to take home the title, while Christian Johnson was second with a leap of 6-6.

Shawna Anderson won the women’s 100-meter dash in 11.93 seconds, and Shelleyeka Rolle ran a season’s best 55.82 to win the women’s 400-meter dash.

Seth Lewandowski took eighth in the men’s shot put (37-10) and came five inches shy of his collegiate best with a mark of 132-4 in the men’s javelin throw.
