NORMAN, Okla. - The University of Oklahoma women's soccer team lost its second consecutive game to a nationally-ranked team as it fell to No. 14 Texas A&M, 2-0, Friday in front at 1,175 fans at College Station. The Sooners, winless in its last four matches, fell to 9-5-1 overall and 3-4-1 in the Big 12 while the Aggies improved to 9-3-1 and 6-1-1 in the Big 12.

Texas A&M did all its scoring 11 minutes into the match. At 6:40, Nicky Strutz scored from 10 yards off a pass from Kristen Strutz. Four minutes later, Jessica Martin tallied a goal off a corner kick from Shannon Labhert. OU kept the Aggies scoreless for the rest of the match.

Texas A&M, which outshot the Sooners 28-7, was held in check by the OU goalkeepers, freshman Catherine Wade (seven saves) and junior Jana Cunningham (five saves).

"We came out of the gate a little disorganized and Texas A&M was able to capitalize with those early goals," said OU Head Coach Randy Evans. "After that, I thought the team got it together and played great. Give them credit, they're definitely as good as anybody in the conference."

Oklahoma travels to Austin to take on No. 10 Texas at 1 p.m. on Sunday.
