OU Head Coach Kelvin Sampson

On the win:
"We scored 12 more points than they did. I didn't like our mentality. We didn't attack."

"I don't think I've ever had a team that had 27 offensive rebounds. The flip side is that we missed enough shots to get 27 offensive rebounds."

"I thought our team was better when Blake (Johnston) was on the floor. I thought the two guys who played with the most energy tonight were Blake and Matt Gipson."

"We had a lot of good looks. When you miss two or three wide open shots, that all of a sudden becomes a mental thing."

OU Guard Ebi Ere

On Prairie View A&M:
"We expected a battle like that. They're a scrappy team. They're tough and they play hard. A lot of teams don't play hard but they played hard and weren't scared of us at all. They tried to take the opportunity and gave us their best shot."

On second -half adjustments:
"Our adjustment was to play harder. We started getting it going on offense a little more but we were still off. But we made a few buckets and stopped them at the other end of the court."

OU Guard Quannas White

On Prairie View A&M:
"They're a good team. They beat Houston and they came out here and gave it their all. But our team as a whole didn't play how we're supposed to. We still got the win so that's all that counts."

On how this game will affect the team:
"I think it's a reality check for us. We have to come with it every night and I don't think that we really came with it tonight. Not to take anything away from those guys because they're a good team, but we just have to play better."

Prairie View A&M Head Coach Jerome Francis Jr.

"We really work on shooting instruction, but the last phase of every game is rebounding and we got crushed. It was a great opportunity to play against an outstanding team and an outstanding coach. We try not to strive for moral victories, but we have a lot to build on. We have to get ready for another outstanding Big 12 opponent in Texas A&M."

"They really wore us down and pounded us on the boards. I'm really proud of our guys and our administration. We've got a lot more basketball to play. I told my guys to keep their heads up and to get ready to play a lot more basketball."
