Tennis Teams Set To Play In Norman and Texas Tech

NORMAN, Okla. - The University of Oklahoma men's and women's teams will compete this week in Norman and Lubbock, Texas. The men play Wichita State on Wednesday, March 27, at 2 p.m. This will be the first match played at the newly renovated OU Headington Family Tennis Center. The women's team will take on Texas Tech Tuesday, March 26, at 12 p.m. The match will be played at the McLeod Tennis Center in Lubbock, Texas.

The Oklahoma men's tennis team is 8-5 on the season after going 3-1 in Hawaii last week. The Sooners defeated Chaminade, Idaho and Wisconsin-Green Bay, while losing to Hawaii. Wichita State is 6-8 on the year.

The Oklahoma women's team is 10-3 on the year and ranked No. 44 in the Omni Hotels Collegiate Tennis Rankings. Texas Tech is 4-9 on the season.

The men return to action against Oral Roberts on March 30. Match time is set for 11 a.m. in Tulsa. The women are back in action this Friday against No. 20 Texas A&M for their first home match. Match time is set for 1 p.m. at the OU Headington Family Tennis Center.
